The peppermint tea (done by adding 2 teaspoons of dried peppermint herb to a cup of boiling water) also helps in relaxing the intestines and rids the stomach of gas which is accumulated by drinking alcohol. raw persimmon also rids of the headache while prickly pear cactus extract helps in reducing the inflammation and prevents nausea. Eating of raw cabbage helps reduce headache while tomato juice and sauerkraut helps in replacing the nutrients. Silymarin or milk thistle help in preventing toxins from going into the liver cells. Vitamin C also helps to stimulate the liver and breaks down the alcohol but always remember that too much of this may cause diarrhea.

There is also a homeopathic cure for hangover. Nux Vomica helps in relieving gas in the stomach.
